ISO 9001:2008 focuses on meeting customer expectations by manufacturing products that consistently meet high quality guidelines. This standard also provides a framework for companies to manage their business effectively and creates a philosophy of continued improvement in all business aspects.
Since the start, E3 Displays has operated under the guidelines of ISO principles. Our ISO certification places E3 Displays in an elite set of companies that carry the ISO registered label of quality. ISO 9001:2008 consists of certification in sales, engineering, and manufacturing. Many companies only receive certification for manufacturing, but we have completed this certification on multiple levels. This gives our customers the confidence that our products will be consistently engineered and manufactured in a facility driven by the high standards of an ISO Quality Management System.
E3 Displays also complies with the following ISO standards: 13485 & AS9100
E3 Displays was born out of the avionics industry, and fully understands the quality requirements necessary to supply into industries with extremely challenging quality standards. E3 Displays solutions are engineered and produced under strict quality systems and standards ensuring customers receive highly reliable products and services.
More and more companies are requiring that members of their supply chain be ITAR Certified or ITAR Compliant, and we are. ITAR stands for the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and is a set of US Government regulations on the export and import of defense-related products and services. All manufacturers, exporters, and distributors of defense articles, related technical data and defense services as defined by ITAR are required to register with the DDTC. By registering with the DDTC you are confirming that you understand your organization’s requirements to comply with ITAR.
Even if your company registers with the DDTC to sell products or services in the ITAR industry, you must also not violate ITAR compliance regulations. You are to be educated and trained in current ITAR regulations.
EAR stands for the Export Administration Regulations. It is a set of US Government regulations on the export and import of commercial items. EAR is managed and implemented by the US Department of Commerce. License requirements depend on a product’s technical characteristics, the destination, the end-consumer, and the end-use. Many of these items can be “dual-use”, meaning they have both commercial and military functions.
