Custom Avionics LCD Displays for Simulation Equipment, Cockpit Instruments & Entertainment Systems

E3 Displays offers industry-leading avionics LCD and aerospace LCD displays that keep pilots aware and in control, even in the most severe flight conditions. Our scalable, fingerprint-resistant, anti-reflective, high-altitude, non-flammable, and shatterproof display solutions are engineered for a safer, more efficient aircraft experience. As an avionics display manufacturer, our elite engineering team can integrate a display into your existing platform or design a completely new concept from scratch.

Why E3 Displays Is a Different Kind of Avionics Display Manufacturer

Most avionics display manufacturers build to a spec sheet. E3 Displays builds to your mission. Every avionics LCD we produce starts with your cockpit environment, your certification requirements, and your platform — not a catalogue part number.

That’s the difference between a display that survives a bench test and one that survives 30,000 feet, -40°F, and a decade of vibration. Whether you need a rugged avionics touch screen for a commercial flight deck or a customized LCD for aerospace simulation equipment, our engineering team designs the assembly around your program from day one — not the other way around.

Features of Avionics Display

Display companies that specialize in one particular industry often don’t offer complete customization and provide limited enhancements. That’s why we build customized LCDs for aerospace and defense programs that need more than an off-the-shelf panel. We offer all of our enhancements and displays in every industry that we operate in. Your display will be designed based on your needs and desires while also maintaining industry standards. The following features are what makes E3 avionics displays unique.

Why Choose E3 Displays for Avionics Touch Screen?

For over 20 years, E3 Displays team members have designed and produced mission critical displays for military and commercial aircraft. Leveraging a heritage born out of Honeywell Avionics, E3 Displays improves fingerprint-free and anti-reflection displays in business and general aviation applications. We are constantly working on the optimization for improved visuals by minimizing fingerprints and smudges on your displays. We will work with you in designing the display solution that will fit all of your needs and also be extremely cost effective. In addition, all of our display solutions are designed considering all safety and operational information that is relayed to passengers and pilots.
As9100 1 1
At E3 we are proudly AS9100D compliant. The AS9100D is the primary standard in quality systems management to work in the aerospace industry. Every major airline as well as government programs like NASA and the U.S. Department of Defense are required to keep up with AS9100D standards. These standards are to ensure that all aircraft and aircraft material are up to date as being the safest caliber possible. Our avionics displays are also engineered to meet DO-160 environmental qualification requirements — the standard the FAA and airframe manufacturers use to test displays for vibration, altitude, temperature, and EMI before they ever reach a cockpit.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

What is an avionics display manufacturer?

An avionics display manufacturer designs and produces cockpit display assemblies engineered to meet aviation environmental and safety standards such as AS9100D and DO-160, rather than adapting general commercial panels.

What makes an LCD suitable for avionics use?

An avionics-grade LCD must perform reliably across extreme temperature and humidity ranges, resist vibration and EMI/RFI interference, stay sunlight-readable at altitude, and often requires optical bonding and anti-reflective coatings.

What is a customized LCD for aerospace?

A display built to a specific program's mechanical, optical, and certification requirements — sizing, brightness, touch technology, and enclosure design — rather than adapted from a stock consumer panel.

What certifications should an avionics display supplier hold?

Look for AS9100D (aerospace quality management) and DO-160 (environmental qualification for airborne equipment). E3 Displays holds AS9100D and engineers to DO-160 requirements

Can avionics touch screens be used with gloves?

Yes. E3 Displays engineers PCAP (projected capacitive) touch panels that support heavy glove use and resist false touches from liquid splashes.
